Lars Eberhardt — software developer

software developer

I build web apps that belong to the people who run them and that people actually like to use.

Full-stack developer at Fibertex Personal Care with a background in design. Self-hosted systems, open standards, and interfaces that earn their acceptance.

Miradouro Festival

Co-founder · Design & Development

A small festival I run together with a friend, from the cliffs of the Azores to a mountain hut at 2,200 m. I designed and built the site, including the ticket flow and the countdown to the next edition.

Binär

Co-founder · Development

What started as a party series in Hildesheim is now a Berlin label that I co-founded. The site runs on Nuxt with a self-hosted CMS, so releases and artists are maintained by the label itself.

intercharge network conference

Client · eMobility conference

Three editions of the website for the EV charging industry's conference in Berlin, each year with its own visual identity. Agenda, speakers and content are maintained by the organisers through a headless CMS.

Schach zu Dritt

Client · Communication agency

A long-standing client: I first moved the agency from a website builder to Nuxt, and the site has grown with them since. It is bilingual, heavy on motion, and fully editable by the team.

Client · Dental practice

New website for a dental practice after its move to a new location. Services, team and opening hours are edited by the practice itself, and no page loads a third-party tracker.

Not built by me, but maintained and extended by me. I keep the site of a recruitment consultancy with offices in Berlin, Hamburg and Munich running and add new features as the company grows.

Web apps & in-house software

Applications that follow the way people actually work instead of bending the process to fit the tool. From data model to interface, built by one person who knows both ends.

Sovereign infrastructure

Self-hosted CMS, self-hosted analytics, locally served fonts. No trackers, no lock-in, and no surprises when a vendor changes its pricing.

Interfaces people accept

Sovereign software is worth little if nobody wants to use it. With a designer's training I shape every screen until it is clear enough to need no manual, because acceptance decides whether a tool survives.

Interactive installations

Software that leaves the screen. From touch terminals to light installations with sound, I make hardware, code and space work as one piece.

AI that lasts

AI where it takes work off people's hands, running in your own environment. Sustainable means maintainable, traceable and without data leaving the building.

I built my first website at 14, back when layouts were made of tables. Almost everything has changed since then, except the curiosity. Today I build web apps, because they run everywhere, ship without an app store and belong to no one but the people who operate them.

I have been with Fibertex Personal Care AG since 2019. I started there as a system administrator and moved fully into full-stack development a year later. I build in-house applications and connect everyday work processes with AI that runs on our own infrastructure and stays there.

Two things come first for me. One is sovereignty: data, infrastructure and code belong to whoever works with them. That is why I rely on self-hosted systems and open standards, and keep dependence on third parties as small as it can be.

The other is user experience and the acceptance that follows from it. Software only does its job when people accept it, and they accept what feels clear, fast and made for them. I trained as a media designer and worked as a graphic designer before I wrote code full-time, so I build the interface with the same care as the system behind it.

Above all, I am the one who gets things to work together. Systems, devices, data and people, whatever needs connecting, I find a way to connect it.
